Mock interviews

Rehearse one question until the tradeoff is short.

A mock on Prep Desk is a session you start. The desk holds the role, the current question, and the answer you are practicing. It is not a silent overlay for a proctored test.

Open a practice session

Set the scene

Choose mock, name the role, and decide whether notes are saved. The first pass can be a reread of a published question.

Stay on one question

A follow-up such as “what happens if the cache is down?” belongs to the rate-limiter question. It should not start a second, unrelated answer.

Review in your words

After the mock, open the published page and mark it practiced only when you can give the answer without reading it.

A sample prompt

Question

How would you design a rate limiter for a public API?

Answer to practice

Name the key, the algorithm, the 429, and what you do when the counter store is down.
